~ Love Ted and Amy

our stories

Amy's story

Amy first met Ted at a interview early in 2005. He was working for the local newspaper at the time, and Amy had just moved to town and gotten a job as the Volunteer Coordinator. She was pretty nervous about the interview, but Ted made her feel comfortable right away. But it wasn't until later that sparks began to fly...

In the middle of summer of the same year, Any had excitedly agreed to take a friend of hers to a party way out in the middle of nowhere, on a oyster lease in Okeover. Amy figured that at least there would be some yummy oysters. She quickly found out that there was much more than oysters, there was an excellent group of people there too!

One of those piqued her interest, as he sat diligently working away to get his music in order for the evening's entertainment. When he later found her reading on the beach, they began to realize how much they had in common (it started with an interest in science fiction, and it just grew from there...decimal places and decimal places...).

After seeing him perform on stage, she knew that she had to see him again. Alas, her friend had to get back on an early boat! What was she to do? She quickly decided to leave her phone number with the sound guy, and see what happened. She had a big smile on her face when Ted called her the next day.

Ted says

I was playing music with my band at an oyster lease in Okeover Inlet. Amy was there with her friend Connie. Amy went off for some alone time, but I wouldn't leave her alone. I guess she got used to having me around.

Howard says

pffth. (but we are hoping to get a quote later.)
